I just finished watching Spirited Away, this time in English, for the second time and it’s just as good. So here’s my review:
Recap:
Chihiro is a young and girl in Japan and is scared about moving to a new home and new school, but after her and her parents detoured to a supposedly abandoned amusement park, her parents are turned into pigs after eating the food prepared for weary spirits. In order to get her parents back she has to make a deal with a conniving sorceress and get a job working at the bathhouse. Along the way she meets and befriends all sorts of people from a woman named Lin who she acts as assistant for. Kamajii, the boiler room employee with a heart of gold. And Much more, but most importantly she meets Haku, who ultimately helps her escape, but Chihiro also has to use her own wits to survive as well.
Review: What can I say that hasn’t already been said. Spirited Away is a classic and deserves that title. All the characters stand out, even the no name ones. Some highlights are Chihiro herself, Kamajii, Zenubia (The Sorceress’s twin and nicer sister), Lin, No Face, I could go on.
Overall, this is such a good movie and I’ll definitely be rewatching it in the future.
That’s all folks, just a quick one today. Take care and God Bless.
My brother had this on Toonami while baby sitting me once as a wee child, it made me scared so I hid under the couch while he slept, his then girl friend came over and got mad at him. My bad bro.
It’s aight, just not something I care for myself.
